Roscommon Adult Education Guidance and Information Service (AEGIS)
Roscommon Adult Education Guidance and Information Service (AEGIS) is a Department of Education and Science funded initiative which offers a guidance service to adults, which includes impartial adult education information, one-to-one guidance and group guidance, which will help people make informed educational, career and life choices.
INFORMATION
- Comprehensive and up-to-date information on education and training courses within Ireland and the United Kingdom
- Access to a reference library with computer and internet facilities to research course/job information
- Information on funding and grants for mature students
- Details of qualifications and certification
GUIDANCE
- One-to-one Guidance in exploring options for learning and/or career progression
- Advice and Guidance on skills, training and education required in order to gain employment in chosen field
- Options to explore interests and aptitudes and match them with opportunities available
- Assistance with CV preparation, application forms and interview techniques
- Support in addressing issues that may be blocking progress
