Adult Basic Education Service (ABE)

The Adult Basic Education Service is available to any adult in the county who may need help with basic skills: 
reading, writing and maths.

This service is Free and Confidential.

Tuition is offered on a one to one basis or in a small group, with tutors who are trained to work with adults, i
n a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.  Tuition is arranged at a time and place convenient for the student and tutor.    

Basic Education programmes are organised for participants on Community Enterprise Schemes (FAS) 
and employees of Roscommon County Council.

The ABE service provides support for people on VTOS, Youthreach, and other Adult Education courses.  
Tutors also work with clients of services for people with disabilities (Brothers of Charity, NTDI).
