Frequently Asked Questions

Here is a list of frequently asked questions about education and other topics surrounding Co. Roscommon V.E.C.

Q. I would really love to go to college or university but didn't get enough points in my  Leaving Certificate.  Is there a course locally that could help me?

A. Co. Roscommon V.E.C. have two PLC centres, one in Boyle and one in Roscommon Town.  Both centres provide a wide range of courses that are certified by F.E.T.A.C. - a F.E.T.A.C. award would improve your chances of obtaining a place in third level. These courses are grant aided, subject to a means test.

A. Yes.  Under Community Education, Co. Roscommon V.E.C. can provide courses to established groups on a whole range of subjects.  Certification can be achieved if so wished by the group.
