THIRD LEVEL GRANTS - 2011/2012 ACADEMIC YEAR

www.studentfinance.ie

then complete and return to Co. Roscommon V.E.C.

Important Notice:

We have been advised by the Department of Education and Skills that the following Government Budgetary
changes will apply to Student Grants for 2011/2012 academic Year:

The qualifying distance criterion for the entitlement to the higher non-adjacent rate of grant (distance from home to the higher education institution)
will be charged from 24 Kilometres to 45 Kilometres. This measure will take effect for all students from the start of the 2011/2012 academic year.

The automatic eligibility of mature students to the higher non adjacent rate of payment, will no longer apply,
effective from the commencement of the 2011/2012 academic year.
This measure will bring the arrangements for the mature students into line with all other students.
